Class 5 Face the Dragons!
Class 5 have been involved in some gruelling negotiations and lucrative business deals before and after Christmas as they pitched their ideas for new electronic gadgets to a panel of entrepreneurs as they took part in their very own version of Dragon's Den to round off their science topic of electricity and circuits.
Rather than facing Theo Paphitis, Deborah Meaden and Peter Jones however, the pupils found themselves presenting to a far tougher trio of potential investors, namely Mr. Thompson and school governors Suanna Rosier and Robin Balmain.
Some very intense negotiations were held and thousands of pounds changed hands, with Mr. Thompson even being heard to offer upwards of £20,000 for 40% of the business of Gregor and Co (where IS our Year 6 teacher getting all of this money from?), and in the end several successful deals were made as the Dragons now look forward to getting involved in the bright-looking futures of several new Class 5 business ventures.
Well done to all of the pupils for presenting so confidently and assertively, to Mr. Thompson for organizing the event and to our two school governors for offering their services as potential investors.
