Healthy School accreditation was awarded to Bosbury Primary School in 2006. Healthy Schools help children to reach their potential by building on a solid foundation of health to do better in learning and in life. At Bosbury it isn’t just about physical health, it’s about good health and happiness inside and out. And it’s not just about pupils either; our Healthy School involves the whole school community – from parents to governors to school staff – in improving their health and their happiness and getting the most out of life.FA Logo

Eco-Club have helped carry out an audit to assess the environmental performance of our school.  They are our mini eco-warriors and focus on regular environmental work including litter picking, advice to classes on saving energy and even the type of Christmas tree we had last year! They are a force to be reckoned with!

Leading Aspect Award for Musical Excellence

Bosbury CE Primary School is the first school in Herefordshire to receive a Leading Aspect Award. The award was for:“Promoting high quality, inclusive and innovative teaching and learning opportunities in music.”
Bosbury pupils are renowned for their musical talents; in addition to regular studio and concert recordings, the Bosbury musicians habitually entertain with live performances at minor venues around the UK (but mostly Herefordshire). Globally, the Bosbury musicians are probably best known for their outstanding performances at the Bosbury Prom, our summer term showcase concert. This year proved the best yet with performances by a brass ensemble, a junk percussion band, a highly acclaimed national touring school choir, a much sought after group of drummers, individual instrumentalists and a highly accomplished steel pan band. The award complements the musical directorate's original and unique vision for primary school music excellence: to present the widest possible range of music, performed to the highest possible standards, to as many people as possible.
