Friends of Bosbury School (FOBS)
Parents and members of our local community have a key role in our school. They are responsible for raising significant funds, organising events and giving our pupils the opportunities to experience a wide range of additional activities.
Friends of Bosbury School (FOBS) is the team of volunteer parents who schedule, organise and publicise a timetable of fundraising activities and events for our families. Our Summer Fair is the most fun - and challenging - event the team organises each summer, with other regular events including school children's discos, parents' quiz nights, children's film nights, a spring plant sale, family Bingo evenings, and of course our magical festive Christmas Fair held in the beautiful setting of Bosbury Holy Trinity Church.
The money raised by FOBS is used to support all of the children who attend Bosbury School through funding the cost of:

♥ Christmas Lunch crackers
♥ Summer barbecue
♥ Playground play equipment
♥ Forest School resources and equipment
♥ Sports team kits
♥ Musical instruments
♥ A brand new school pond!

HALLOWEEN HAMPER 100 SQUARE WINNER!
This lucky young man from Class 4 has every reason to look extremely pleased, having had his name plucked out of the pumpkin to win this huge hamper of Halloween treats in the recent FOBS Halloween 100 Square competition!
Well done and thank you to everyone who bought a square (or squares!), and a big thank you also to former Bosbury parent Mrs. Laura McCrae for kindly donating this ghoulishly good prize!
FOBS HALLOWEEN DISCO 2024!
Our ever-popular school Halloween Disco returned this year at the new venue of Bishops Frome Village Hall. Together with the takings for the Halloween Hamper 100 Square competition (see above), we raised a spooktacular £345!
Thank you to all FOBS members, volunteers and helpers for organising such a frightfully fun event, to DJ Chris for spinning the decks to those ghoulish tunes, to Mrs. McManus for providing first aid on the night, and to busy Bosbury mum Mrs. Jesse Brandreth for providing all of the delicious sweety treats for the evening.
Our next big project is our annual school Christmas Fair (see poster below). We are currently looking for donations of any unwanted books, toys and teddies, so please have a rummage over the coming weeks and see if you can spare anything to raise funds for our lovely school. Thank you!
YOUR SCHOOL LOTTERY FUNDRAISING SCHEME
Bosbury CE Primary School is now part of the Your School Lottery fundraising scheme. Simply log into the site by clicking on the right-hand logo, search for Bosbury School and you can buy tickets at a cost of just £1.00 each for a chance to win a monthly jackpot prize of £25,000! Wowsers!
There is a guaranteed monthly prize of £5.70 for each participating school for the ticket which has six numbers most closely matching those drawn out of the hat, with the guaranteed prize amount increasing as more tickets are sold.
As a school, we currently only have 19 players (£395) out of our target of 50 (£1,040), so the more new tickets we sell, the better! All proceeds go towards helping to fund equipment and activities for the children of Bosbury School. Thank you, and good luck!
