LETTER FROM THE CHAIR OF GOVERNORS TO BOSBURY PARENTS AND GUARDIANS:
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am honoured to be Chair of Governors at Bosbury School, now having been a member of the governing body over the years following the extremely challenging COVID-19 pandemic.
I bring to this vital role a great deal of relevant experience. For twenty-one years, I was Headteacher of a similar sized school to Bosbury, so I fully understand the hard work that is required of a small staff if they are to offer a rich and varied curriculum. I also bring to the role seven years working as a School Improvement Partner. In that position, I supported schools in an urban setting and had my eyes opened to the range of difficult and challenging situations they have to face.
As a great believer in providing an interesting and exciting curriculum, it is encouraging to see the wide range of activities that take place at Bosbury. A broad and balanced curriculum provides every child with an opportunity to succeed and, fortunately, puts us in a good place with regard to the new Ofsted Inspection Framework.
From the moment I entered the school, I felt very much at home in an environment very similar to my former school. I was impressed by the behaviour of the children and of the commitment shown by the staff and the leadership team in order to help the pupils achieve their potential. This has led me to volunteer every Thursday morning in Class 1, and has helped me to get a real understanding of the day-to-day running of the school.
I am very fortunate to have followed two excellent Chairs of Governors, Mrs. Emma Smith and Mr. Robert Lane, who together over the years helped to establish extremely good systems and a strong Christian ethos. They are indeed hard acts to follow, but I will certainly continue to do my very best.
Best wishes

As well as diligently working to help guide our school, our governors also love working first-hand with our brilliant pupils, be it in the classroom tackling some tricky maths, or up in the wilds of Forest School demonstrating their knot-tying skills!
A big thank you to our governing team for all of the brilliant support they give to our pupils throughout school.
