Another Brilliantly Competitive Cross-Country Event!

Bosbury School held its fourth annual cross-country event just before the Bank Holiday weekend, with the nearby blossoming orchards of the Blandford family once again providing a beautiful setting for this highly popular and competitive event which is now a regular fixture on the Bosbury calendar!

Very ably marshalled by our seventeen superb Year 6 pupils, made to feel very important indeed sporting their bright fluorescent race official vests, conditions were surprisingly challenging over the hard dry ground with the sunshine being very warm despite the event being held earlier in the school year than usual.

Our budding young Mo Farahs and Paula Radcliffes across all seven year groups raced hard for those fabled gold, silver and bronze medals, with Key Stage 1 taking on a half-mile lap of the first orchard as Key Stage 2 ventured into the second orchard as well to complete a full mile.

Without further ado, we proudly present below all the top athletes who finished first, second and third in their respective year groups during the Bosbury School Cross-Country Run 2026!

Yes, we had three second place winners in the Year 5 girls category! This tenacious trio of female athletes showed such wonderful friendship, teamwork and sports(wo)manship in running together and supporting each other for the full length of the course, that we could not have refused to award them with a silver medal each as they crossed the line at the same time with huge smiles across their faces!

A big thank you to Mrs. Symonds for organising another hugely enjoyable event which ran like clockwork, and to the Blandford family for allowing us to once again use their beautiful orchards.
