Class 3 Have Chocolicious Time at Cadbury World!

Class 3 had a positively chocolicious time exploring Cadbury World this week as part of their class topic on How Did Chocolate Become a Worldwide Treat? and their class reading book this half term, Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Although they sadly didn't see Willy Wonka or any of his Oompa-Loompas, they still had a fun-filled time walking through the history of chocolate from the Aztec era, through Victorian times and up to the present day, writing their names with and having a go at tempering chocolate, taking a ride through a magical chocolate beanland and meeting the Cadbury mascots in an amazing 4D cinema experience, looking at lots of Cadbury merchandise from over the years and listening to an interesting presentation about John Cadbury and the history of his company, with two pupils even getting the chance to try on some authentic Cadbury work gear!

Naturally, there were lots of tasty treats to sample as well!

A full slideshow of over a hundred photos from this very tasty day out can be viewed below. Many thanks to Mr. Summers, Mr. Ponter and lovely parent volunteer Mrs. Weston for accompanying the children on this most delicious excursion!
