Clubs

HOORAY! AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS ARE FINALLY BACK!!

After a wait of over a year, we are absolutely delighted to be able to announce that after school clubs are returning to Bosbury School for the Summer Term! To start with, only multi-skills sports clubs are being offered as these are much easier to facilitate safely in the open air on the school field. The clubs are run by our superb Kidderminster Harriers Foundation sports coach Mr. Handy, and we are pleased to confirm that all children who requested a place at a club made it in!

It's been a while, so here is a quick reminder of our after school club rules which we kindly ask all parents, carers and pupils to follow in order to ensure that our pupils are kept as safe as possible:

Children should not drop out from a club unless the school receives a legitimate reason in writing from parents.

Children must go to the club they originally signed up and are not permitted to change their mind and attend a different club during the term of during an after school club session.

⇒ Parents MUST inform the school office if their child is going to miss a club one week for whatever reason.

If a parent is persistently late in collecting a child from an after school club (all clubs this term finish promptly at 4:00pm), the child will unfortunately have to leave the club. Our staff remain very busy after school attending meetings, preparing lessons and marking work ready for the next day and do not have time to supervise children after 3:15pm.

A child who exhibits consistently poor behavior will be asked to leave the club.

Key Stage 2 children will only be allowed to walk home alone after clubs if a parent has previously completed a walking home form - these are available from Mr Walker in the school office.

Children who are attending JITBX tea club on the day of the their after school club must be ready to be collected by JITBX staff to be taken either over to Leadon Lodge (Reception) or the village hall (Years 1-6) promptly at 4:00pm.

Children do not need to change into PE kit for this term's multi-skills clubs, but they will need at least a pair of trainers to change into at the end of the school day. Children already in PE kit from PE lessons earlier in the day can simply stay in their kit; children who do not have PE on that day will do the sports club in their uniform wearing trainers.

We hope that in the Autumn Term of the new 2021/2022 school year we can recommence all of our clubs again including indoor activities such as choir, drumming, textiles, languages, debating and drama, but this will be entirely dependent on the situation with COVID-19. Fingers crossed we will be in a good enough position nationally to be able to offer our full range of clubs very soon - thank you for your patience and understanding.
