Bosbury Memories

YEAR 6 LEAVERS 2023

Please see below for a collection of the memories which our Year 6 Leavers of 2023 shared in their final Leavers' Assembly and in their Leavers' Yearbook of their time at Bosbury CE Primary School.

My funniest moment at Bosbury School was when Harriet fell off the top bunk on the residential! It's so funny because she and I used to argue all the time when were in Reception, but now we are best friends!

My favourite subjects at Bosbury were Art and English, as I would like to be an artists and teach art lessons outside of school when I am older.

I loved World Book Day when I dressed up as Enola Homes, but my proudest moment was definitely The Greatest Showman play in Year 6.

My favourite trip was when we went to West Midlands Safari Park, as Mrs. Dark was super kind to us. I will miss all the teachers at Bosbury when I leave, as well as my friends.

- Eva

I have so many funny memories at Bosbury! On the Year 5 residential during the blindfold challenge, Annie and I got our heads stuck together in one of the tyres, and during the residential in Year 6, we both fell off the paddle boards into the lake about five or six times, going splat down face first! That night in our dorm, Harriet slid down the bed from the top bunk to the floor!

In the classroom, me, Liv and Emily were playing around on the sofas, with me sitting on the back of the sofa and swinging downwards; Emily tried to the same, only for us all to hear a thump! Luckily, she wasn't seriously hurt!

My favourite subjects at Bosbury were PE, Art and Music, and I also loved playing tag and hide & seek at playtimes!

In Year 2, we did the Nativity and I was in a big poofy white dress with a big star around my head. This was my favourite costume, but my proudest moments were getting the part of Barnum in The Greatest Showman play and singing Once in Royal David's City solo at the Christingle service.

I will miss the teachers and my friends at Bosbury, but I aim to do the best I can, make lots of new friends and be successful and succeed at high school.

- Ruby

My funniest moment at Bosbury was trying to trip someone up on April Fool's Day, only to trip over myself!

My best school memory is basically just coming to school itself as I loved Art and Forest School. My favourite trip was West Midlands Safari Park, and I loved dressing up as a ninja for World Book Day!

My proudest moment was when I finished my SATs, and I will miss my friends as well as Mrs. Dark's fun activities. I want to be a singer or a YouTuber when I'm older, but most of all I just want to make the world a happy place.

- Natty

I really enjoyed the residentials at Bosbury, particularly the one in 2023 where we jumped off a pontoon into a lake and abseiled down a massive quarry before having to climb back up! We also squeezed through a really tight gap in a cave.

There are so many things which made me laugh at school, but the funniest has to be when we all climbed up a willow tree on the Key Stage 2 play area, only for it to fall down with us all still in it as Mr. Ponter yelled, "Girls it's going to fall, just hold on!".

My favourite subjects were PSHE, Art, English and Forest School. I loved Sports Day every year and I really enjoyed going on a rollercoaster for the first time at West Midlands Safari Park. My favourite costume was when I came in as the boy in the book called, 'The Doughnut that Ruined My Life' - I brought doughnuts for the whole class!

I will miss ALL of the teachers at Bosbury, and when I am older, I want to be an equine vet and eventer, rehoming loads of horses and ponies and helping them to have a better life.

- Fenella

I remember some funny moments on the residentials, like when Ruby rolled down the hill and I fell into a stream!

I liked Art at Bosbury, and enjoyed coming to school in my pyjamas for Pyjama Day! My proudest moments were getting my pen licence and winning Sports Day.

I will miss my friends most when I leave Bosbury, and I want to work hard when I'm older being a farmer or an accountant.

- Olly B

My proudest moment at Bosbury was getting a big part in The Greatest Showman play. I absolutely loved it when we did Art, as it lets you be free!

I can remember lots of funny moments, including when Natty, Fenella and I were on the bus back from the Three Counties Show and Natty pulled down his blue bucket hat and basically flew to Mars, and when Mrs. Dark got the big parachute out at the end of our SATs and I got spun around inside it!

On the residential, I did not want to go into the artificial cave as it was so dark in there, but Lexie made me go round with her in the pitch black! I also dressed up as a chocolate bar for one event!

I will miss all the amazing teachers at Bosbury, but especially Mrs. Walker. I want to own a dairy farm with my cousin when I'm older, and raise loads of money to help Cancer Research.

- Bella

I loved Art so much at Bosbury that I want to go on to be a successful fashion and interior designer. I also enjoyed History and English, all the school discos, and going on all the rides at West Midlands Safari Park. My favourite costume was definitely the Mad Hatter outfit I wore for World Book Day!

I will really miss Mrs. Dark teaching me when I leave Bosbury.

- Lottie

I really enjoyed Forest School at Bosbury, as well as the trip to West Midlands Safari Park in Class 5. My fondest memory was my first residential in Year 5, and I also loved dressing up as a pharaoh in Year 3!

- Jake

There were so many funny moments at school that I can't pinpoint just one, but my proudest moment was definitely doing all the activities on the 2022 residential. I was completely out of my comfort zone, but I did them all anyway and it has made me want to travel the world when I'm older!

I enjoyed English, Art and Drama at Bosbury, especially Art as I want to be an interior designer or fashion designer. I loved going to Cadbury's World in Class 3 and going on all the rides at West Midlands Safari Park in Class 5, and I also loved coming into school in my pyjamas for Pyjama Day!

I will miss my teachers and my Reception buddy when I leave Bosbury, and in the future I want to try and help stop crime.

- Archie

I have so many funny memories at Bosbury, such as when on the Year 6 residential during the walk, Ruby fell down a hill and continued to roll down it like a sausage roll, and when we were both on the paddle board, we continuously kept splatting down on it and kept slipping off five or six times every time we tried to stand up or move! We kept falling on each other and we giggled uncontrollably!

When I was doing the sack race on Sports Day, I also headed overboard, tripped and fell flat on my face, but somehow I still managed to win!
